Favorite Places in the Tri-City Area
Here are some of our favorite places to visit or shop. We are
discovering that Newcastle is a great place to shop. As we are working to market
ourselves to this community, we are finding our greatest challenge is to convince people
that there really is a quality photography studio right here in Newcastle. We are
also finding that other retailers in the area face the same challenge. People
generally seem to think, if they want quality, they have to go to "the city."
In talking to other business people in the community, and looking at their products and
services, I'm discovering that Newcastle has a lot to offer. I would encourage you
to discover Newcastle for yourself! Our
experiences with these business have always been very positive. We'll update the
list from time to time. Let us know if you visit any of these, and whether your
experience is as good as ours has been.

Ribs-N-More - A great place for a barbecue, brisket, smoked turkey - sandwiches, lunch or dinner plates. And, they cater events like weddings, receptions, parties, and our July 2007 Children's Gallery Open House - Ribs-N-More is behind Blockbuster on Hwy 37 in Newcastle, in the Wal-Mart shopping center.
Carlitos - I have had photo customers from Oklahoma
City and Moore tell me they think Carlito's is the best Mexican food restaurant in the Metro.
I think so, too! And it's right here in Newcastle, on Hwy 37 in the Tri-City center area
between Carls, Jr & Mazzios.
Check out The Pit Stop Grill on Main Street
in Newcastle for great breakfasts and great burgers, and some really good lunch and dinner specials!
Ferguson's Jewelry - They sell all types of jewelry --
earrings, necklaces, watches, rings, wedding and engagement rings. They also repair
jewelry and make custom jewelry! Brian made a beautiful ring for Trish that Rick designed
for their 25th wedding anniversary.
Newcastle Hardware - we get lots of odds and ends
(nails, screws, tools, nuts & bolts, pvc pipe, paint....) from them for projects around our
home and studio. On Main Street, Newcastle.
Durham's - Convenience store; with a car wash, a feed
store, with hay by the bale, and usually about the best price locally on gasoline. On Hwy
37, just west of Newcastle.
Farmers Insurance has saved us quite a bit of money on business insurance, car insurance,
homeowners, and a great 10 year level premium term life insurance policy. I'd be happy
to introduce you to my insurance guy -- Nick Vasilauskas.

Wynne's Feed Store, on Main Street in Newcastle, has
provided most of the nutrition for our horses & chickens.
Spencer's grocery has been a great place for us to
shop over the years. But we have also been impressed by their willingness to support
the local schools and community projects. Spencers is located on Hwy 76 in Blanchard, next
to the post office.
